What Have You Been Trusted to Protect?

Ever felt like you did everything right, but still got it wrong? 😩

On this set… I handled all the camera equipment alone. 😊

You know that feeling when you’re so sure you were careful, only to find out something still went wrong?

Please keep reading...

This job was my first time as a paid Camera Technician.

I was diligent. I collapsed and set up the slider, mounted the cameras on the tripods, fixed the right lenses. Everything went smoothly for days.

But on the final day, we wrapped and the production manager was taking stock.

Boom!

Two camera batteries were missing. 🀯

First came confusion.

Then anger.

Then disappointment.

I went through all the emotions.

I paid for them o, but here’s what I learned:

No matter how active or “busy” you are, never forget your primary assignment.

In the midst of pressure, noise, and endless tasks, there’s still something you’ve been trusted to preserve.

At the end of the day, you’ll be asked about it.

I probably got caught up in the activities and forgot I was the Camera Technician.

My job was to protect the camera equipment like a mother hen guards her chicks.

No excuses.

So, let me ask you:

πŸ‘‰πŸ½ What have you been given to protect?

A vision?

A relationship?

A home?

A child?

A job?

A role?

A gift?

Is it something you'll regret losing? Or something you can easily pay for without regret?

When last did you check if it’s still in place?
