My Lagos House Hunting Chronicles

‎This week has been very challenging!
‎
‎I almost lost my faith, but I thank God for the amazing people in my life who have been praying for me.
‎
‎Normally, I would drop a recipe about one mind-blowing meal I prepared 😄 but this week, hmmm! I just want to appreciate my friends and family and thank God for not letting me lose my mind.
‎
‎We have been trying to get a new apartment because our landlord needs to renovate the building we live in. My friends, there is no place my legs have not wakka’d in search of a house 😄 my legs have truly seen things, literally! And I am not even kidding!

‎I went to one house that was smelling of poopoo 🤣🤣 I almost collapsed! Another one, the street was flooded 🤦 and then there was one we actually paid for but got a refund because the caretaker said we were too desperate 😭😭😭. My friends! The tears I have cried this week ehn, only God knows!

‎Or is it the one an agent sent me a video of a house that’s already been taken, but just because he wanted me to pay his agent fee he claimed it’s still available? Abi the one where we paid agent fee finish after they’ve promised to find us a house, then they stop answering our calls 🤣🤣🤣. Or the ones that will show up with two extra people and then insist we pay their tfare 🤣🤣🤣🤣 (who told you to bring your bestie along???) 🤣🤣🤣🤣.

Or is it the outrageous amount for rent, agreement fee, agent fee, and caution, for a place that under bridge is even better than?

Chai! My eyes have truly seen things that my mouth cannot talk about.

‎We still have not gotten a place yet, but I am optimistic. I know my Father who created the heavens and the earth will surely provide us with a place to live in. Until then, I will keep putting my praise on it, and when the time comes, I will be back to testify 😊

‎Don’t worry my friends, I’ll make sure to cook myself a recovery meal after finally getting a suitable apartment, and of course, I’ll share the recipe with you all.
