Are You Inspired to Write?

Exploring the sacred power of the written word

Is writing an inspiration to you?
Are you inspired to write?
Who inspired you?

These are not just cute questions.
They are a call to awareness.

Because if writing wasn’t important,
there wouldn’t have been a writing on the wall in the book of Daniel.
The Israelites wouldn’t have been instructed to write God’s laws on their doorposts, and teach them to their children.

And Jesus?
even Jesus wouldn’t have said, “It is written.”

He didn’t say, “It is spoken.”
He didn’t say, “I heard someone say.”
He said, “It is written.”
Because writing carries weight.
Writing is record.
Writing is covenant.
Writing is warfare.

Writing was never just a hobby.

It has always been divine instruction.
A way to preserve wisdom.
A way to remember what God said.
A way to make truth outlive seasons, generations, and emotions.

So, let me ask you again...

Are you inspired to write?
What do you do with that inspiration?
Do you listen before you write?
Do you write for applause or assignment?

Your words are seeds.
And inspired words carry responsibility.
They can build.
They can break.
They can heal.
They can correct.

So if writing has been stirring in your spirit...
Write.
But don’t just write. Ask God why He gave you the words in the first place.
Was it for you?
Was it for them?
Was it for now?
Or is it for later?

πŸ’ Reflective Question:

What’s the last thing God told you to write... and did you obey?
