A New Twist to Nigerian Vegetable Soup 🍲

 ‎Hey guys!

‎Guess what? 😁 Okay, let me just tell you!

On Sunday, I made one headslapping vegetable soup that shocked even me. Funny thing is, it was supposed to be a quick fix oo! Days later, every time I belched, I could still perceive the taste 🀣 That’s how you know it was that good!

‎I actually wanted to film the whole process, but my phone camera wasn’t giving what it was supposed to give. So instead, I decided to share this little secret with you because you’re my people.

‎Can you guess what made this soup taste so different? πŸ€”

‎πŸ₯ Drum roll please… πŸ₯πŸ₯πŸ₯

‎The star of the show was none other than Larsor Pepper Soup Seasoning! (Made by Tiger Foods Limited).

‎Yes, you read that right! Have you ever thought of adding Larsor pepper soup seasoning to your vegetable soup? If not, today’s your sign to try it. The flavor gives this soup a deeply local, authentic taste that instantly reminds you of your village, your grandma’s kitchen, and those good old days πŸ₯°

‎I even had to look around me to be sure I wasn’t in my village 🀣🀣🀣

‎Quick Recipe πŸ‘©πŸ½‍🍳

• ‎Ingredients πŸ₯•

‎• Ugu

‎• Waterleaf

‎• Onions

‎• Larsor Pepper Soup Seasoning

‎• Larsor Beef Seasoning

‎• Palm oil

‎• Meat / pomo / fish (any combo you like)

‎• Grounded pepper

‎• Grounded crayfish

‎• 1 teaspoon of achi (thickener)

‎• Salt

‎Method 🍲

‎1. Season and cook your proteins with Larsor Beef and Larsor Pepper Soup seasoning until tender.

‎2. In the same pot, ensure there’s just a little stock, then pour in palm oil.

‎3. Add waterleaf and allow it to cook down until the water reduces.

‎4. Stir in achi and crayfish powder, cover, and let it cook a bit.

‎5. Add pepper, Larsor Beef and Larsor Pepper Soup seasoning, mix well, and cover again.

‎6. Finally, add your ugu, allow it to simmer for a minute, and bring the pot down.

‎And that’s it! I enjoyed mine with hot, stretchy eba πŸ˜‹

‎The good thing is, you can also eat this delicious soup with hot white rice or, if you want to go harder, pair it with soft bread! (See combo na! 🀣)

‎Would you try this twist on vegetable soup? And if yes, which swallow are you taking down with it? eba, fufu, or pounded yam?

‎Let’s hear it in the comments
